Cosmetic Surgery Liposuction And Medical Tourism In India

Submitted by: Priya Bora

India as a global medical tourism destination, could capitalise on the low-cost, high-quality medical care available in the country. India, touted as one of the favourite destinations for information technology majors, is currently emerging as the chosen destination for medical or health tourism. The Government of India, State tourism boards, travel agents, tour operators, hotel companies and private sector hospitals are exploring the medical tourism industry for tremendous opportunities. They are seeking to capitalise on the opportunities by combining the country s popular leisure tourism with medical tourism. Given below are some common cosmetic surgeries peformed at some top Hospitals in India and other destinations in Asia.

Breast Surgery: Various types of breast surgery and reconstruction and liposuction Breast reconstruction is considered if the breast has not developed, there has been extensive trauma, or most commonly, after mastectomy for breast carcinoma. More..

Liposuction Liposuction is a surgical procedure that sculpts your body by removing unwanted fat from specific areas, such as your buttocks, thighs and upper arms. Liposuction (or lipoplasty) is a plastic surgery procedure that uses a combination of a vacuum and suction to remove fat in problem areas More..

Buttock Lift: Butt Implants. It’s a cultural phenomenon that’s moving northward. “Buttock implants are very popular in South America, where Brazilian women want to have very round, curvaceous buttocks,” Wells tells WebMD. “Breasts are big here, but in Brazil, it’s buttocks.” The implants have a more “solid” covering than breast implants because they must sustain weight, he says. “There’s been an increasing interest from the public, so surgeons want to know more about them.”

Sub-mental lipectomy for double chin: Ear Surgery (Otoplasty) for protruding ears Cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the external ear is often performed to repair cosmetic or defects resulting from injury. The most common procedure is otoplasty which is done to correct prominent (“dumbo”) ears in children. The goal of this type of surgery is to improve both the functional and cosmetic appearance of the ears. Frequently, psychological trauma is associated with such features.

Eyelids (Blepharoplasty) : Got tired eyes or bags under the eyes? Then consider eyelid surgery. This procedure, called blepharoplasty is a surgical procedure that reduces bagginess from lower eyelids and removes excess skin from the upper eyelids. The procedure involves the removal of excess skin, muscle and underlying fatty tissue. While it is primarily a cosmetic procedure, blepharoplasty is also an effective method for improving sight in older patients whose sagging upper eyelids obstruct their vision.

Face lift : A facelift is a surgical method that removes excess facial skin to make the face appear younger. However, the aging face not only loses skin elasticity and develops looser droopy skin, but also loses fat and muscle tone. Additional procedures which may be necessary to achieve the best results include: necklift, blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), liposuction, autologous fat injection, removal of buccal (cheek) fat pad, forehead lift, browlift, chemical or laser peel, and malar (cheek), submalar or chin implants.

Hair Replacement : Today’s options for hair growth have gone through a major evolution since 1952 when hair transplantation surgery was first pioneered. Treatments have shifted from unnatural-looking transplants to sophisticated new drugs and improvements in hair transplant surgery, and cloning individual hair cells. David Orentreich, MD, a professor of dermatology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City, and others who specialize in the field of hair restoration say that the future looks even brighter than the present. Orentreich’s father Norman first pioneered hair transplantation surgery.

Laser Skin Resurfacing: Laser resurfacing is a relatively new treatment for reducing facial wrinkles and skin irregularities, such as blemishes or acne scars. The technique directs short, concentrated pulsating beams of light at irregular skin. Laser skin resurfacing removes skin very precisely, layer by layer, resulting in fewer problems with hypopigmentation (lightening of skin). This popular procedure is known by several other names, including lasabrasion, laser peel or laser vaporization.

Liposuction (Lipoplasty) : Liposuction is an option to remove small bulges that won’t budge and to improve your body’s shape. The areas most commonly treated include the hips, abdomen, thighs and buttocks and face. Liposuction does not remove cellulite, only fat.

singapore plastic surgery Neck Lift (Platysmaplasty): Do you want to trick people into thinking you’ve lost a lot of weight? You might want to consider a neck lift. Oftentimes, people won’t even notice that your neck muscles, fat or skin has been surgically altered if you have a neck lift. Even though your neck can age before your face, Father Time is not always responsible for that appearance you’d like to undo. If you’ve lost a lot of weight, your neck may be taking its time to catch up. For others, it’s a matter of genetics. Whatever the reason, people young and old undergo neck lift procedures all the time. A neck lift is actually a set of procedures used to enhance the appearance of your neck. Cervicoplasty is the procedure used to remove excess skin. Platysmaplasty removes or alters neck muscles.

Reshaping or recontouring of the nose (Rhinoplasty):- A rhinoplasty or nose job is a nose surgery procedure to reshape the bone, skin and cartilage of the nose. Rhinoplasty can be done for strictly cosmetic reasons, strictly medical reasons or at times combination of both.

Rhinoplasty can handle a variety of medical and cosmetic problems, including: –Too large or too wide nostrils –A nose size that is too large or too small –Crookedness of the bridge of the nose –Restricted breathing due to deformity or injury

Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty): Are sit-ups just not giving you the taut tummy you desire? If you’ve got a little too much flab or excess skin in your abdomen that won’t diminish with diet or exercise, you may want to consider an abdominoplasty, popularly referred to as a “tummy tuck.” This procedure flattens your abdomen by removing extra fat and skin, and tightening muscles in your abdominal wall.

Otoplasty – Ear Surgey: Otoplasty/ear pinning is a procedure in which a plastic surgeon corrects such problems as oversized or protruding ears.

Otoplasty ear surgery is frequently performed on children. Because the ears usually reach almost their full adult size and shape during early childhood. Otoplasty can be performed effectively and permanently as early as age 5-6. On average, the otoplasty surgery may take one two to three hours, depending on the specific steps your surgery requires.

Wikinews interviews Steve Burke, U.S. Democratic Party presidential candidate

Sunday, December 13, 2015

This article is a featured article. It is considered one of the best works of the Wikinews community. See Wikinews:Featured articles for more information.

Macomb, New York Councilman Steve Burke took some time to speak with Wikinews about his campaign for the U.S. Democratic Party’s 2016 presidential nomination.

Burke, an insurance adjuster and farmer, was elected councilman in Brookhaven, New York in 1979. He left the town after being accused and found not guilty of bribery in the 1980s. Since 1987 he has served as Macomb councilman off-and-on and currently holds the post. From 1993 to 1996 and 1999 to 2002 he worked as chairman of the Democratic Party of St. Lawrence County, New York. Among his many political campaigns, Burke unsuccessfully sought the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination in 1992 and recently attempted to run for U.S. Congress in 2014 but too many of his ballot petition signatures were found invalid. Burke filed with the Federal Election Commission to run for president in the 2016 election on September 18, 2015 and has qualified for the first-in-the-nation New Hampshire Primary.

With Wikinews reporter William S. Saturn?, Burke discusses his political background, his 2016 presidential campaign, and his policy proposals.

Composting: Make Your Own Fertilizer And Reduce Trash

By Jena Luthovski

Composting for your home garden is a win-win situation. You get fertilizer for your garden without buying and hauling costly bags of fertilizer from the store. Your local landfill gets less trash. A good deal all the way around. Let’s say you’d like to get started composting but have questions like how long it will be before your compost is usable for fertilizer, and will it make your yard smelly to have a compost container there? What can I put in compost? Here are a few basics to get you started.

When deciding what can go in your compost heap, it is good to know how composting works. Basically, composting is the process of breaking down and decomposing materials. The key to composting for your lawn or garden is having the right mix of materials, air, and heat, so that this process is controlled. If the process is not controlled, you will end up with rotting or mold instead of usable compost. If you are composting at home, you can simply start a pile in the corner of your yard. You (and your neighbors) may find this unsightly however, and it also will break down very slowly, taking a year or more before you can use it. Using a compost bin, particularly one that allows you to rotate or move the material around, will not only contain your compost in a more attractive way, if used properly, it will help your compost break down faster and be usable sooner.

For ideal composting to occur, you need the right mix of materials that contain carbon, and those that contain nitrogen. For home composting, your carbon materials may come mostly from your lawn, like dried leaves, while your nitrogen materials are more likely to come from your kitchen, like vegetable leaves. Compost will need to be moist, but not too wet or too dry. If you live in a particularly dry climate, or the weather is beginning to get colder, you may need to add some water to your compost pile. Your compost will also need air in order for the bacteria to operate optimally. Mixing your compost, or aerating it, occasionally will assist in this. Some compost containers have tumbler features and can just be turned. This is one easy technique that will make your compost degrade faster and be garden ready sooner.

California State University, Chico fraternity suspended for making frat house porno flick

Tuesday, March 29, 2005The local chapter of the Phi Kappa Tau fraternity at California State University, Chico was suspended after members were linked to a pornographic DVD apparently filmed in the club’s fraternity house. According to reports, the DVD shows students engaged in various sexual activities with female porn actresses.

The Chico fraternity also has been suspended by the national Phi Kappa Tau organization and Chico State’s Interfraternity Council, the student governing body for all fraternities. In addition, the national Interfraternity Council issued a press statement saying it was embarrassed by the Chico group’s actions.

The company responsible for making the porno film is Van Nuys, California-based Shane’s World. A spokesman for Shane’s World said the Chico fraternity contacted it months ago with the idea of making a sex film in its “College Invasion” series.

The company says it requires all students who participate in its sex films to show proof that they are 18 or older and sign release forms. Shane’s World has made five other DVDs at other U.S. universities since 2000.

University officials suspended the local fraternity from being able to participate in school sponsored activities at the rural northern California campus. The school also is investigating whether any illegal activities happened during the porn shoot including underage drinking.

Paedophilia claims made against “living god”

Tuesday, November 7, 2006

Allegations of paedophilia made against Indian guru, Sathya Sai Baba are back in the limelight again, after the UK’s Sai Youth movement was recognised as an accredited partner of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme.

The Baba’s followers deny the allegations, and the Sai Youth UK’s National Co-ordinator called them “totally unfounded”. Sai Baba attracts followers from many countries around the world who revere him as a “living god”.

Around 200 youth are due to fly to India on November 13th after receiving a “divine commandment” to carry out a month-long “humanitarian pilgrimage” that will coincide with the birthday celebrations of Sai Baba, who will be 81 on November 23rd.

Pressure has been mounting on the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme charity to break its association with the Baba’s organisation.

Ways A Heating Contractor In San Antonio Tx Can Help Maintain Your Heating System

byAlma Abell

As the colder months of the year approach, you will need to consult with a Heating Contractor in San Antonio TX about having your unit serviced to ensure it is ready for the colder weather. Most times this will involve having the unit inspected for damage and cleaned to help it run more effectively and efficiently.

One of the first things that will need to be inspected is the burner. The burner lights up and heats the air before it is sent into the home. If the flames of the burner are blue, the unit is clean and working properly. Yellow or orange flames generally indicate a dirty burner and the unit will need to be disassembled and cleaned. There are many parts in a burner, so this process can require a bit of time and skill to ensure it is done correctly.

After the burner has been cleaned, the technician will generally focus on the blower. This unit is generally found in the attic or in a utility closet. Most blowers have an air filter, which is designed to block dirt and particles from going into the system. The filter should be inspected and replaced if it is dirty. Filters should be inspected periodically throughout the season to help keep the unit running its best.

Since not all dirt can be trapped by the filter, the Heating Contractor in San Antonio TX will also spend some time cleaning the unit with a vacuum. This will remove surface dirt and any dirt clogging vents, grilles or other areas of the unit.

The unit’s motor should be checked to be sure the wires connecting it to the power are in good condition and all connections are secure. This will be beneficial in preventing fires from occurring. If the fan or fan belt show signs of damage, they should be replaced.

Making sure your heating system is clean and in good shape is important for maintaining your home at a comfortable temperature no matter what the weather is like outside. Having a professional to check you system before it is need, can be a good way to do this. For more information, please visit mmweatherization.com. You can also visit their Facebook page.

The Archbishop of York, Dr John Sentamu, said that Zimbabwe’s president Robert Mugabe must be forced out of office and face trial for his crimes against humanity.

“The time has come for Robert Mugabe to answer for his crimes against humanity, against his countrymen and women and for justice to be done. The winds of change that once brought hope to Zimbabwe and its neighbours have become a hurricane of destruction, with the outbreak of cholera, destitution, starvation and systemic abuse of power by the state,” said Sentamu.

Sentamu that the power-sharing deal that was signed by Mugabe and the Zimbabwean opposition in September was “now dead”.

Dr Sentamu’s statement comes after a severe cholera outbreak spread in Zimbabwe, and saw 12,545 cases reported and 565 people dead.
